Shipping Container Delivery

The single subject that we get asked about the most is shipping container delivery. It is quite understandable that customers want to know how thier container is going to be delivered. At the foot of this page we have a number of images that show the cranes that we use during shipping container delivery.

We can deliver as can be seen both 20ft shipping containers and 40ft shipping containers by Hi Ab, these are the lorries that you will have seen with cranes on the back. The lorries are not able to go on soft surfaces like grass etc but have the advantage of a huge 10 meter boom with which they can lift and place shipping containers. Some people may think that shipping containers can be lifted over houses etc, unfortunately that is not possible. The containers weigh 2.6 tonnes for a 20ft and as such the load on the boom is too great. The Hi Ab is capable of placing a container on the ground next to the lorry, so you do not need any lifting equipment.

The other type of lorry that we can use is the side loader. This lorry simply has the shipping container sitting on the back of a flat bed lorry and is off loaded using a forklift truck. This can be much cheaper than a Hi Ab but has the limitation of the customer being responsible for the final part of the shipping container delivery. It should be noted that this type of shipping container delivery does not allow for the lorry to be able to assist in the delivery of the container at all. It simply arrives at the site and it is the customers responsibility to off load the container.

We are always more than happy to discuss your requirements went it comes to container delivery.
