Container Stacking Pins
Container Stacking Pins, designed for stacking shipping containers on top of each other. These can be used on both 20ft shipping Containers and 40ft shipping containers. The stacking pin features a plate with a locating pin on either end, that slots into the holes cut out of the corner casts. The locking pin/cones we provide come with a handle which can be engaged or disengaged, enabling you to lock or unlock two shipping containers.
Although shipping containers are designed to be stacked, for the sake of safety it is necessary to lock them together with the Stacking Pins, especially on sites which may be susceptible to movement.
It is important to remember that a lot of Haulage Companies will not stack shipping containers one on top of the other without the stacking pins in place. It is considered bad practice to not lock shipping containers together that may be the subject of movement.
- 50 tonnes breaking load
- Painted Grey
- Includes twist lock to hold shipping containers together
It should be noted that when shipping container stacking pins are used in pairs at one end of a shipping container they will raise the shipping container 30mm at that end. This is because there is the twist mechanism that joins the two shipping containers together. We find that a lot of the customers that we supply stacking pins to simply place a ‘packer’ under the other end of the shipping container to level the shipping container.
It is not necessary to use 4 shipping container stacking pins on each container that is tacked. We find that the use of two stacking pins either at one end of the shipping container of one at either end of the shipping container is normally enough to secure the shipping containers.
